What does YourEncore do?
YourEncore offers retired and highly experienced Experts part-time assignments, the primary goals of which are to accelerate innovation and improve innovation productivity at our Member Companies. Experts must enroll in the YourEncore Network in order to be matched into these assignments.
When did YourEncore begin operations?
YourEncore began operations in the US in 2003. YourEncore services were launched in Europe in the UK in July 2008, and in Germany in October 2009. Many YourEncore Member Companies have operations in both the US and Europe, and YourEncore has provided expertise to these Clients in Europe on an as-needed basis since 2004.

What types of opportunities does YourEncore offer enrolled Experts?
YourEncore specializes in providing the skills and expertise of scientists, engineers, product developers and other technical disciplines. As a function of the needs of our Member Companies we may provide them with Experts in additional disciplines.
What types of Companies have enrolled in the YourEncore Member Company Network?
YourEncore Member Companies currently number more than 50 and are frequently multinational Fortune 50/ 100 Firms. However, smaller companies and alliance partners and suppliers of the Member Companies are also represented. YourEncore's primary areas of focus are Companies in the fields of Life Science/ Pharma, Food Science/ Products, Consumer Science/ Products and Aerospace/ Technology. A common characteristic of our Member Companies is a strong commitment to success and growth through innovation. Procter & Gamble, Lilly, Boeing and General Mills are examples of Companies who have committed to work with us. Additional Member Companies are being added on a continual basis.
Who can enroll in YourEncore?
The YourEncore Network is open to enrollment by retired and highly experienced individuals. Of particular interest to our Member Companies are scientists, engineers, product developers, market research experts, quality control and quality assurance experts, medical professionals, and business development managers. The Experts enrolled in our network span all organizational levels, from hands-on workers to senior management.

How many Experts are currently in the YourEncore Network?
The YourEncore Network currently consists of approximately 5,000 Experts. These talented individuals have retired from or have prior experience at over 800 companies, universities or other organizations.
Are there dedicated YourEncore Account Managers for each of the Member Companies?
Yes. Each YourEncore Member company is supported by a dedicated YourEncore Account Team. Some YourEncore Account Teams support more than one Client, and some support both US and European Client needs. Experts may be contacted about a potential project or assignment by any of these YourEncore employees.
How does YourEncore match Expert skills to the needs of the Member Companies?
YourEncore uses a variety of tools to match Expert skills to assignments at the Member Companies. These include a searchable database of resumes, individual skill profiles, and personal contacts and references. To facilitate this matching, it is critical that Experts provide as much information as possible about their skills, experience, and interests when enrolling with YourEncore. It is very important to provide a complete resume, as this document is used most frequently for matching Expert skills with potential assignments. Information contained in Expert resumes may be shared with Member Company personnel who are working with YourEncore to identify resources for specific projects.
Can Experts who reside in the US work on assignments for a Member Company that has operations only in Europe?
Yes, Experts who live in the US can work on projects for Member Companies based in Europe. Due to travel costs projects of this type are typically those that can be done virtually. In some instances the project's requirements and potential for value creation justify the cost of international travel.
Can Experts who reside in Europe work on assignments for a Member Company that has operations only in the US?
Yes, Experts who live outside the US can work on projects for US Member Companies. Due to travel costs projects of this type are typically those that can be done virtually. In some instances the project's requirements and potential for value creation justify the cost of international travel.
When Experts are offered an assignment must they accept?
No, Experts are not obligated to accept any assignment. Experts should agree only to those assignments that are consistent with their interests and availability, and which they are confident they can complete successfully.
How is Expert compensation determined?
YourEncore strives to achieve compensation rates that are fair to the Expert, consistent with the marketplace, and provide excellent value to the Member Companies. Experts may experience differing compensation rates for different projects. Examples of Expert compensation include an agreed sum for a pre-defined body of work or a fixed hourly or daily rate for achieving the deliverables and success criteria of a specific project.
How do Experts know their compensation rate for a given project?
The YourEncore Account Teams work with the Experts to determine their compensation rate for a specific project. Details of the agreed compensation will also appear in the Project Engagement Letter sent to the Expert.
Are Expert compensation rates the same for each assignment they have through YourEncore?
Not necessarily. Compensation can vary as a result of many factors, including type and value of work, length of assignment, sponsoring Member Company, marketplace standards, etc.
Do Experts work in their assignments as employees of YourEncore?
Yes, when working on YourEncore assignments, Experts are employees of YourEncore.
When do Experts who have enrolled with YourEncore become YourEncore employees?
To become a YourEncore employee Experts must be offered and accept an assignment. Experts become active YourEncore employees at the point they begin work on their assignment.
Do Experts sign a Confidential Disclosure Agreement when they work through YourEncore?
Yes, YourEncore refers to this document as a Confidential Information Agreement (CIA). This document must be completed prior to any discussions with members of the Account Team and/or our Member Companies for a potential project opportunity. Once the agreement has been signed, it will apply to all subsequent assignments; however, some Member Companies may ask you to sign an additional confidential disclosure agreement in order to work on an assignment they sponsor. How many assignments can Experts work on through YourEncore?
There is no limit to the number of assignments Experts can work on through YourEncore. However, there may be limits on the number of hours Experts can work in a given fiscal or calendar year for a particular Member Company. Experts should contact the YourEncore Account Team if they have questions about a specific situation.
Are there limits on assignment length or the number of hours Experts can work?
Some Member Companies impose limitations on the length of assignments, the number of hours that can be worked in a one-year period, or the length of continuous employment on their projects. These limitations do not typically present a problem for the Experts. The YourEncore Account Teams can discuss these limitations. In addition, Experts who work on multiple projects in the same time period should be aware that any hours exceeding 40 in a week are considered overtime. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, Employees will be compensated for these hours at one and a half (1.5) times their normal hourly rate. However, Experts must have approval from the Member Company's Engagement Leader or YourEncore's Account Team prior to working hours that qualify as overtime.
Are there restrictions on how long Experts must be retired or separated before they can begin working on projects for the Company they retired or separated from?
There can be restrictions of this type - the regulations vary by Member Company. If Experts are in their first year of retirement or separation they should alert the YourEncore Account Team to this fact if they are discussing a potential assignment at the Company or Organization from which they retired or separated.
Do Experts work on-site at the Member Company?
Depending on the requirements of the assignment, work can be at home, at a Member Company site, at a Member Company supplier site or alliance-partner site, or a combination of these.
What information about their YourEncore assignments can Experts add to their resume or share with potential employers?
Experts may share the types of work conducted in general terms on their resumes or with potential employers. To fully protect Member Company confidential information the description must be generic and focus on the skill set deployed as opposed to the specifics of the assignment. Experts should not disclose the names of the Member Company or Member Company personnel involved, nor mention specifically the Client's product or product line. Experts should list the employer as YourEncore, Inc. Examples of descriptions to use would be “Quality control in the pharmaceutical industry” or “Process development in consumer product manufacturing.” Please contact the YourEncore Account Team for additional input.
